Jul. 11, 2007

ADVERTISEMENTS

While a number of National Teamers will represent USA Swimming July 14-22 at the Pan American Games in Brazil, a number of others – including seven Olympians – will remain on American soil this week to compete this week at the Janet Evans Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif. The meet will be held July 12-15 at the McDonald’s Swim Stadium at the University of Southern California, site of the 1984 Olympic swimming competition. Among those entered on the last stop of the 2007 Toyota Grand Prix Series are reigning world champion Ben Wildman-Tobriner (San Fransisco, Calif.), American record holder Larsen Jensen (Bakersfield, Calif.), two-time Olympian Klete Keller (Phoenix, Ariz.) and world record holder Natalie Coughlin (Vallejo, Calif.). 2007 U.S. World Championship team members Kim Vandenberg (Moraga, Calif.), Lacey Nymeyer (Tuscon, Ariz.), Dana Vollmer (Granbury, Texas) and Whitney Myers (Oxford, Ohio) will also swim at the Grand Prix, along with a contingent of swimmers attending the World University Games next month.
