Beauchesne Sets Pending World Record

U.S. water ski athlete Jamie Beauchesne set a pending world slalom record of 2 buoys at 43 feet off on Saturday during the semifinals of the Malibu Open in Lacaneau, France. On Sunday, Beauchesne won the Men’s slalom title, scoring 2 buoys at 41 feet off. Fellow U.S. athlete Natalie Hamrick won the Women’s slalom title, scoring 2-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off. U.S. athlete Freddy Krueger won Men's jumping, leaping 231 feet (70.5 meters).
